Lexington SC homes for sale, Farming Creek Community

Lexington SC homes for sale, Farming Creek Community

Located a convenient drive from Lexington on the rural outskirts of Lexington Town, Farming Creek is truly a child friendly, safe and conveniently located community for you to consider.

Originally a Mungo Homes community, there were several local builders that also participated in completing this development. Its startup was in 2001 and built out in 2007.

The community offers lots of sidewalks and street lighting for those leisurely evening strolls. It also has a nice pool with a cabana that is great for those lazy summer days. On a good day you can also get a view of nearby Lake Murray. Public boat landings are less than 5 miles from most of my Lexington SC homes for sale

There is a local grocery store chain within a mile and a gym about that same distance. Lexington town is a few miles down Highway 378 that opens up an array of shopping and dining pleasures. There are all the major chain retailers you will ever need to stay in Lexington.

The price range for Farming Creek is from 140,000.00 to 210,000.00 for the larger homes. Home market time is low as Lexington is highly sought after. The Lexington One schools are the best of the best in this area.

There are currently several active homes for sale at the time of publish.

Lexington South Carolina Lake Murray news

An Upstate developer Johnson Development Associates announced  plans for the North side of the lake Murray dam. The 43 acre site will house 300 apartments and many retail shops. It is one of the few prime spots left on the heavily-developed eastern edge of the 650-mile lakeshore.

Construction is slated to start by this fall. This should be a great addition to the already growing area. The company wants to create "the feeling of an urban-type village" on the parcel at Lake Murray Boulevard and North Lake Drive.

View of Lake Murray from the Dam.

All Hazard Radios may save your life!

Its that time of year again! BE SAFE!

The Lexington County Emergency Management Division and just plain good sense emphasizes the importance of having a Tone-Alert Weather/All-Hazards Radio in your home. Everyone needs to be prepared for a potential emergency, whether it is a natural or man-made incident. Part of being prepared includes having an effective means of receiving emergency information. Also contingent supplies that can last a few days including water and food.

Tone-Alert Weather Radios can be a life-saving tool. They can wake you up at night and provide you with timely emergency alerts, from tornado warnings to national security notices for your local area, 24-hours a day. Does your family have a Tone-Alert Weather/All-Hazards Radio? Hikers and outdoors man also need a travel version.

The SAME programming code for receiving Lexington County specific alerts is: 045063. USE it! To find other local codes go herer  http://www.crh.noaa.gov/fgf/?n=nwrmain It just may save your family's life!
