Happy Hour History Tour Friday, Sep 4 5:30p to 7:00p at The Vista, Columbia, SC , Join us for a happy hour with a twist. Located just west of the heart of Columbia, the Vista is a thriving area for nightlife and shopping, but how did it grow to be the entertainment district it is today? This tour will focus on the history of the Vista as well as the architecture of its buildings. Visit Historic Columbia.


Pony Whisperer Saturday, Sep 5 8:30am at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden, Columbia, SC Come meet our Shetland ponies up-close! This class is specifically designed for the younger pony lovers out there. Children will learn how to feed, groom and care for the ponies!

Run Or walk Crooked Saturday, Saturday Sep 5, 8:00am at Crooked Creek Park, Chapin, SC Don't miss out on this annual event at Crooked Creek Park, rain or shine. The course runs throughout the park and includes walking paths, grass, tree lines, and is the home of the Lake Murray Cross Country Invitational Run. This race is part of the Tour De Columbia. There is a free 1-mile Kids Fun Run.
 
Hot, Exploration in Contemporary Fiber Arts Tuesday, Sep 8 6:00p to 8:30p at Saluda Shoals Park, Columbia, SC Join nationally known fiber artist Susan Lenz in this creative fiber workshop using needles and thread, fabric and beads. Sounds of the Shoals. Sunday, September 6. This is a great  fall concert series at the Saluda Shoals Park in Irmo SC from 3-5 p.m. Bring a picnic, blanket or chairs and enjoy live music at this fun event. This weeks entertainer is J. Edwards . The Concert is always free and open to the public. A $5 parking fee applies. Visit Saluda Shoals Park for more information on this great series.
 
Moonlight Cemetery Tour Friday Sept 4, 8:00 Pm Join us for our popular moonlight tours of the historic Elmwood Cemetery. Costumed guides will lead you through the cemetery to learn about some of Columbia’s past residents and the city’s history.

Lanier Sailing Academy-Lake Murray is hosting 2 hour fun sails over Labor Day Weekend. A 2 hour fun sail with a skipper from Lanier Sailing Academy-Lake Murray Saturday, Sunday & Monday (Sept 5-7)Boats will leave at 9:30, 12:00, 2:30, and 5:00. $25 per person, maximum of 4  (6 if they are all from the same family).  Call 803 317 9070 to make reservations.  Sailing from our facility at Southshore Marina, 3072 Hwy. 378, Leesville, 29070.
