I have to crow about this....USC Gamecocks Upset Ole Miss

USC Gamecocks

Our 28-year wait is over and the South Carolina Fighting Gamecock's finally bagged its big-game trophy. The Gamecocks brought down No. 4 Mississippi's Thursday and held on for a 16-10 victory that was the biggest home win in the program's 116-year history.Wow what a game that was a true SEC battle to the end. It had our whole family on edge.

"Our defense was sensational," said USC coach Steve Spurrier, who improved to 4-0 against Ole Miss. "We relied on our defense to win the game, simple as that."

Congratulations to my Gamecocks and we look forward to what is shaping up to be a great season and a new era with such a great recruiting class.

The University of South Carolina is home to more than 200 years of history and tradition, rising from a single building in 1805 on what would become the heart of the campus, the Horseshoe. The 11 buildings that now make up the Horseshoe frame a lush lawn that is an irresistible gathering place. Come tour the University of South Carolina and its rich history!

Go Cocks!

Can you tell Im a fan?

Morning Laura,  Congrats on a great win !  I watched most of the game and thought Ole Miss certainly didn't look like a ranked team - USC did.   Ilike Spurrier and he does have a winning way !

Laura -

I'm not exactly sure I would say "go cocks" but it was a good game.  I used to referee high school and collge football so share your enthusiasm.
