Spring is time for renewal, so wake up and get outside and get to work!

I love this time of year!

Bradford pears blooming in spring by Richard WeisserHere in Georgia, spring is upon us! The early flowers are blooming, and it's time to get all of the yard chores done in anticipation of a new growing season.

And although the calendar New Year officially starts on January 1, the practical New Year commences when you get out of the house and you get busy outdoors. Slowly, over the next two months the "secondary living space' will be pruned, fertilized and weeded in preparation for the warm season.

It's time for allergies to go into overdrive, and for the home improvement stores to bulge with frantic homeowners trying to make their estates the envy of the neighborhood.

There's a lot to do and only a short window of opportunity to get it done. It won't be long before the pleasantly warm days five way to the blasting heat of the southern summer.

Yeah, I need to get on that. Maybe Mañana!
