TGIF Gone Fishin, Lake Murray South Carolina Fishing Report

I have a full card this weekend a no its not with buyer clients. I'm going fishing. I have a baseball game and a cheer competition in the morning but then I'm going fishing with my Husband. I'm not real fond of fishing but I do enjoy the sun and fun of Lake Murray here in Lexington South Carolina. And with a beautiful Carolina day fore casted I couldn't resist. Both Saturday and Sunday are supposeto be in the upper 70's. Its a bout time! Ill be the one with no bait on my hook and laying on the back of the boat catching some rays. Lake Murray will be hoppin!

Here is the Lake Murray SC Fishing report wrote by my husband.

Crappie. Good reports of fish being caught in the upper lake around Kimpsons bridge and the little Saluda Arms. Fish are staging in the 10-15 feet of water on warm days. Try trolling jigs in blue and green or tip with Minnows. Also try Minnows down-rigged and a slow troll. Lower lake fishing has been slower as the waters are deeper and slow to warm. Try structure and creek beds in 20-30 feet of water with live minnows down-rigged. Use toughies from Dooleys bait shop (orange minnows) if possible. The crappie seem to bite 2 to 1 with this bait. I have multiple crappie beds around Beechcreek so find them and enjoy!

Laura, "fishing" huh? You have a wonderfully relaxing time! Fishing is always a time to get your head clear and get ready for another dose of reality!

Hi Laura, I have to concur with Caren.  How was your day of 'fishing'?  Did you work on that golden brown tan?  Did your husband catch any fish?  We love going down to the beach to go surf fishing.  My girls love it too.  Have another great day tomorrow.

Great day on the lake. Sunburn one down. I should of used more sunscreen. And yes we caught dinner!

I do not miss South Carolina at all, but do miss some things, places and people there--Lake Murray is one of them!
